Whatsapp dark mode on Android and iOS

Finally, the most awaited feature of WhatsApp, the dark mode on Android and iOS is official. From the time when the dark mode arrives on Android, several Apps are getting dark mode feature. Last January WhatsApp beta gets the dark mode on both platforms. The dark theme will reduce the eye strain and reduces battery consumption.

WhatsApp’s official blog mentions the company two focus aspects, First is ‘Readability’ and the second is ‘Information Hierarchy’. The company writes “We did this by using color and other design elements to make sure the most important information stands out”. The dark mode minimizes eye fatigue by using colors that are closer to Phone default settings. In the dark mode, you will see the WhatsApp default App theme with the black color combination.

How to enable WhatsApp dark mode on Android/ iOS

Android 10 and iOS 13 users can manually enable the WhatsApp dark mode by switching dark mode in Phone settings. If it’s not working make sure you have the latest version of WhatsApp messenger. While users of Android 9 and below can enable it withing WhatsApp Settings by selecting the dark theme in Chats.WhatsApp Dark mode Android iOS

The new WhatsApp dark mode on Android and iOS works everywhere on App. It includes the Chats and entire settings along with the Chat Bubbles. The new WhatsApp update also brings extra solid color options in App, you can set it by a head over to Wallpaper in WhatsApp settings. The WhatsApp is also testing the dark theme for Web and Desktop versions.
