Digital Wellbeing provides a dashboard that shows the data for the apps as Apps usage, battery drainage, Mobile data and much more. It also offers parental control for the users to control the usage of the smartphone by kids.
What is Digital Wellbeing Feature?
Digital Wellbeing is a tool featured in Android that can be used to place the limit on when and how much you use your devices. It’s a built in-app dashboard comes in Android 9 and Android 10, shows the usage of Google devices and apps by users. It helps to monitor your smartphone usage habits and maintaining a healthier balance between technology and life.
Digital Wellbeing Focus Mode is rolling out in Android 9 and Android 10. It’s finally out of beta and released in the stable version. Focus Mode includes a scheduling option to pause the distracting apps.” We also added an option to take a break, which lets you step out of Focus mode to use certain apps and jump back in when you’re ready”, said the company in Blog Post.
According to Blog, “You can select apps you currently find distracting (like social media or games) and if you try to open them, Focus mode will remind you that the app is paused. Focus mode will also silence those apps’ notifications until you’re ready to switch out of the mode”, minimizes the distraction from distracting apps.
