Chrome 79 Media Hub let’s you Control Media Playback

Chrome in the latest update, Chrome 79 added Media Hub to the browser. This update is for Windows and Mac Chrome users. This Media Hub is located at the top- right corner of the Browser. It lets you control the media playing in tabs. This means now you can easily control the Audio/Video playing in other tabs from other. Before this, media control shows a small black icon. Which has not any action, hide after switching to tabs.

In the Google Blog post, Google confirms the Media Hub. The new Chrome Media Hub has the symbol of Music Note at the right corner. On click, it shows the title of media with the next and forward button. To see this, you have to open any Music or Video streaming website. Last year the Chrome gets dark mode as an update.

According to Google, this is part of “features aiming to enhance your media experience in Chrome”. The Company also hints about more upcoming functionality in Chrome.

The New Chrome Media Hub is rolling out in Chrome 79 and available for Windows, Mac and Linux Operating System. You can easily enable it from the Chrome flags “ chrome://flags/#global-media-controls
