Dream 11 is New Title Sponsor of IPL 2020

Dream 11 will be the title sponsor of Indian Premiere League staged in UAE this year(IPL 2020). Dream 11 is one of the biggest fantasy gaming space in the market.

As per the report, Dream 11 bags the IPL 2020 title sponsorship in half the price for almost 50% discount. Previous sponsor Vivo was paying Rs. 440 crore, while Dream 11 wins the sponsor for Rs. 220 crore.

IPL Chairman Brijesh Patel said, “In the given circumstances, we are happy with the deal. These rights are only for four months and only for this edition of the IPL.” The title sponsorship deals are only for four months for IPL edition.

Chairman also confirmed Dream 11 lefts the two edutech bidders Byju’s (Rs 201 crore) and Unacademy(Rs 171 crore). Tata group was also a part of bidders for a title sponsor.

As Dream 11 bags the title, IPL official website gets a section for fatansy powered by Dream 11. Now, fans can play bets and fantasy on IPL website and app.

Earlier, the Vivo title sponsorship deal was for five years for a whopping amount of Rs 2199 crore. In a statement on August 6, “The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Vivo Mobile India Pvt Ltd have decided to suspend their partnership for Indian Premier League in 2020″, the deal has suspended. The reason is not clear, but it’s obvious to see as the anti-China sentiment may affect the deal.
