Google I/O 2020 gets Cancels Due to Coronavirus

After the Coronavirus outbreak worldwide, many global events get canceled. Google has also canceled its annual event Google I/O 2020 due to Coronavirus. Google I/O is an annual event of Google in which the company launches its new products and research. Starting of the month Google has tweeted about the cancelation of Google I/0 2020.

Google I/O 2020 is scheduled online after the cancellation of the offline event. Google writes on I/O 2020 event page “Out of concern for the health and safety of our developers, employees, and local communities — and in line with recent ‘shelter in place’ orders by the local Bay Area counties — we sadly will not be holding I/O in any capacity this year.

“Right now, the most important thing all of us can do is focus our attention on helping people with the new challenges we all face. Please know that we remain committed to finding other ways to share platform updates with you through our developer blogs and community forums.“, Google states.

After cancellation of the Google I/O 2020 due to Coronavirus, Company has initiated the refunds of the tickets fare. Visitors will get directly eligible to purchase tickets for Google I/O 2021 who have book tickets for Google I/O 2020.

The Cloud event, Google Cloud Next 2020 gets online from 6th April to 8th April. Coronavirus outbreak not only led to cancelation of many events as Facebook F8 developer conference, MWC and more. Google has also made a Coronavirus Website live for enhanced information.
