Google to Message Users When Search Results are low-grade

In an update, Google improved the way you know about poor search results. We all have gone through, we do a query with misspelled words and we get the best search results. Google systems detect the misspelled words and try to match the words for better search results.

Google does its best to provide most relevant search results for a given query, but sometimes it’s not possible. Google also making continuous improvements to its language understanding system for search result. In the blog Google writes that these systems not work perfectly sometimes. Sometimes the search results not provide the relevant to query. For this instance, Google will lets user known about poor search results by displaying message:

“It looks like there aren’t any great matches for your search.”

With this message at top of results, you can scroll to refined search results. Google will also provide some search tips with the message as “Try using words that might appear on the page you’re looking for. For example, “cake recipes” instead of “how to make a cake.

Google writes “Starting today in the U.S., we’re rolling out a new message that lets you know when Google hasn’t been able to find anything that matches your search particularly well.”

“While you can still go through the results to see for yourself if they’re helpful, the message is a signal that we probably haven’t found what you’re looking for.”

This is currently rolled out only in US region, and soon it will be rolled out globally. You will see the messages sometimes only,most of the times you have the relevant search results.
