Google makes easier for people to compare plans, and search for discounts and recharge phone plan from Google search. From today, you can recharge your Phone Prepaid Plan from Google Search on Android. This feature is only available in English in India.
You will still need Apps in your Phone for the payment. During the process of recharge, it will redirect you to the selected payment app. There is Back to Google button that will take you back to the search page.
To use this feature you will have to search query as “recharge”, “Sim recharge”, or “Mobile Recharge”. After clicking on the search, you will see a Recharge Section in the search result. This search result has blank for Mobile number, Operator and Circle.
After filling the required fields, click on Browse the Plans to view the prepaid plans. Select your Plan from a given list of valid offers from the providers. For Checkout, you have a list of payment service providers as “Paytm, FreeCharge, GPay, and MobiKwik. Choose the recharge plan, payment provider and Google search will redirect you to the applicable payment section. On the Recharge confirmation page, users has also a customer support for recharge.
The Google post also mentions that the feature is only available to all signed-in android users. The supported prepaid services are Vodafone, Airtel, Idea, Jio, and BSNL for prepaid plans. Only Android user can recharge phone plan from Google search. Well, we expect this feature on iOS soon from Google.
