Instagram has over 500 million users on the app. Last month Instagram is testing one-page stories for users on the app. Now, I have spotted a feed section on Instagram mobile version in inspect mode.
The feed section is in a user’s profile, there is nothing visible after clicking it. After clicking the URL keeps on reloading with a blank screen. In the user profile there is already IGTV button, Save, tagged, and posts.
To see the feed section, Login to Instagram and navigate to profile. Switch to inspect mode in browser and refresh the page.
Facebook keeps on updating Instagram to compete with others. After Tiktok banned in India, Instgram has added Reels to the App.
[Update: 14 August 2020] The testing is of a feed section, on click the icon now loads the users feed. In app we have already a section where we can see all the post in a grid view. To see the likes and comments we have to click on post from the grid. The new feed section shows all the posts of ours.

In an official blog post, Google claimed that this will helps students to better learn STEM( Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). To get solutions to a problem students to search over the internet. Now, the visual results will help students understand better. With AR, Google has developed 3D content. Students can get over 100 plus 3D content on search.
According to blog post, “Visualizing STEM concepts can be hard without labs or hands-on learning tools. Now, students can see 3D content on Search for nearly 100 STEM concepts across biology, chemistry and more using compatible Android and iOS devices. If students search for “Quantum mechanical model,” they can view a 3D atom up close and use augmented reality (AR) to bring it into their space”.
This Google lens feature concept is the same as Socratic which is acquired by Google in 2018. The Socratic helps students to learn better by providing visual content of STEM. Google has also had a speech recognition app ‘Read-Along‘ that helps to develop skills in children.
To get result of any maths equation, you have to simply use Google Lens to scan it. After scanning you will get the instant results. With the Google lens last updated feature, you can simply copy the text from real-time notes. Google lens works on sync on desktop and mobile version. To get sync data with Google lens you must have sign in same accounts on devices.
Google has rolled out search card submission for Indian users. The search card is known as a people cards, the card is visible to users searching your name on Google.
This feature lets users create their self virtual visitung card on the Google Search Engine. The people card contains the information about the Work, Education, socila profiles and other contact information. There is also an about section which lets you add about self that goes publicly on card.
The feature is launched for India only and will later expand to other regions. During adding the information you will be redirected to YourProfile/aboutme section of your google account.
The Google search card feature is for influencers, bloggers, and for those who want to be available on public search. Right now, the feature is only available on the mobile version of the search engine.

Amazon Prime Day is an annual sale held by the company for 48hrs. This year the sale is from 6th August to 7th August in India. Senior VP and Amazon’s Country head Amit Agarwal revealed in an interview that over 91,000 SMBs joined in 48 hrs sale and 209 sellers become crorepatis.
Out of 91,000 SMBs, 62,000 of them who participated in the sale are from non-metro cities. From the Prime Day sale, 31,000 SMB benefited and records their highest sale over 10 lakhs or more.
Amit Agarwal said, “This Prime Day was dedicated to our small business (SMB) partners, who have been increasingly looking to Amazon to keep their businesses running. We are humbled that we were able to help as this was our biggest Prime Day ever for small businesses”.

The Chinese giant Xiaomi always keeps on experimenting with new designs in products. In a recent report, Xiaomi patents a new design of smartphones that store earbuds inside and charge it probably. Last month there is a patent by Xioami which shows two screen and 108MP Lens.
The Dutch Media House report the patent, states that patents have been filed in China and Netherlands. Inspired from patent Lets Go Digital created design renders images. According to patent, the smartphone has two holes on top that store earbuds inside it. The earbuds can easily rotate at different angles as per deign. Also, the earbuds will also be work as the primary speaker of the device & gives a sound boost.
The smartphone will have two long pipe-like slots on the top. The buds will be moveable and can easily point upwards when stored inside the device. There is an render image from LetsGoDigital based on patents deisgn.
The concept of deisgn is very much similar to the Samsung S-Pen in devices. Putting the earbuds inside of a device made it bulky. Also requires additional components to charge the earbuds. Xioami has removed 3.5mm headphone Jack to increase battery power of device (with large batteries).
To use earbuds we have to put it out from the device, and it obvious we may forget sometimes to carry it. The company also has to take care of hygiene, the earbuds are exposed to outside world and then to our ears. Also there are several other issues to consider.
I am excited about the Xiaomi new patent smartphone design and hope it will better than the future phone Mi Mix Alpha that has full-screen wrap around.
Facebook added messenger rooms in last month to compete with Online video calling apps. From the list of WhatsApp upcoming features last month, messenger rooms integration is out. The feature is added in WhatsApp web only not in Android.

[Updated | 3 August ]The messenger room integration is also added to the Android App. To create a messenger room in WhatsApp you have to navigate to any chat group > Call icon > create a room. After the click, you will have a pop-up to choose an option. Select to continue in messenger. You can invite people by link. Also, it does not need the installation of any app on the device. To join the room you only need a computer, phone, or tablet.
The World’s richest man Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon has conceded he cannot guarantee that Amazon has not broken privacy policy for benefiting of Company. This statement is in an antitrust hearing at the US Congress. Jeff Bezos admits in an answer to Democratic Congresswoman Pramilla Jayapal’s question on Whether the Amazon use third-party sellers data. The statement clearly shows the practices of the big e-commerce giant.
The report by Wall Street Journal investigation claimed some of executives has violated company privacy policy. These executives have data access from third-party sellers which helps in Amazon competitive products.
Jaypal asked, “Let me ask you, Mr. Bezos, does Amazon ever access and use seller data when making business decisions?”. Bezos replied, “I can’t guarantee you that that policy has never been violated”. On Wednesday, Jeff Bezos, Google’s Sundar Pichai, Facebook’s Mark Zukerberg and Apple’s Tim Cook was also questioned in Antitrust hearing.

WhatsApp latest version 2.20.195 in Android gets a new update. This new update brings the feature to add new WhatsApp contacts via scan QR code. This feature is already been tested in the beta version of Android and iOS. The options for the QR code scan are in the setting of App.

Click on the bottom left image icon, choose the QR Code image to scan, and add a contact.
You can also add WhatsApp contact by scanning the image of the QR code as mentioned in step 5 above. The feature is also available in WhatsApp business App. Now, you can easily share your catalog and contact using QR Code. Also, you can see and add other WhatsApp business contacts via QR Code scan.
