Facebook-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp has rolled out dark mode for the web. The new update also adds animated stickers, QR Code and more features, rolling out next weeks.
Dark theme on Android and iOS rolled out this year. Talking about the web version of WhatsApp, we are using some tricks to enable dark mode. WaBetainfo has shared the trick to enable dark mode using chrome extension.
Later, we also have a trick to enable dark mode making small changes in inspecting elements of the web page.
Log in to WhatsApp web
Firstly, you have to make login to WhatsApp web using your phone.
Open Settings
At the right of your profile, click on three dots to open Settings.
Open Theme
In the Settings, you have to choose theme.
Choose Dark
In theme out of two options, you have to choose dark.
May be theme option will not be avialble for you yet, as it started rolling out in next week.
WhatsApp has released new features in latest roll out for WhatsApp web. The new features includes dark mode for WhatsApp web, Animated stickers for communication, and QR Code for all. Facebook is also adding status feature in the KaiOS WhatsApp.
Animated stickers have already rolled out for the Android beta version. QR Code in WhatsApp will make it easier to add contacts in the WhatsApp chat list. Also, there are improvements in the group video calling feature. With the latest update in the video calling feature, you can make calls up to 8 contacts. Out of people in group video chats, you can maximize a participant video. You can be done by simply holding on participant video to make it full screen. Group has also a dedicated icon to make a video call.

This feature is under development and will avialable in the future updates. WhatsApp is tesing this feature, however, this feature testing is on iOS currently. The feature will allows to search messages by date. WhatsApp has already added advanced search feature.
This feature will brings a calendar which lets you pick a date to search chat of a specific day. Well, this feature will be helpful in searching messages in WhatsApp groups.
ShareChat Videos Integration
ShareChat is a content sharing platform, contents are user-generated and allow users to share images & videos. This feature is being tested on Android as well as iOS platforms. With this feature, you can add ShareChat videos to chats and share them.

Storage Usage Tools
The feature is tested on WhatsApp Android only. Storage tools helps the user to manage chats and media shared in WhatsApp. This feature will come with filters as Large files and Forwarded Files.
As the name suggests ‘Forwarded files’ will only show forwarded files on WhatsApp. Large Files will let you see received and shared large files. The feature will also add a filter as Photos row to see the all photos in a specific chat. You will also get a sort button with filters as Newest, oldest, and by Size.
Clear Except Starred
We all have some starred messages in our WhatsApp also some annoying ones. The feature is testing on the iOS platform and later be added to Android. This feature allows us to delete chats excluding the starred messages.
You will soon easily delete annoying images, videos and other media shared in WhatsApp in bulk using this feature. The feature will be added in the Storage except for section.
Search Image on Web and iOS
The WhatsApp has already added feature to verify messages to fight with fake news. This feature is extended to images also, you can search received images on web directly from WhatsApp.
This feature will let you know, whether image is an stock image or any older. The feature ‘Search message on Web’ is already live on WhatsApp beta 2.20.40.26 update.
The search image on web feature is for iOS platform, for Android it is alredy in development. This feature will replace forwarded button by Search icon on the image shared more than 4 times. On clicking search icon image will automatically uploaded to Google and you will get search results.
Chat Bubble Color
The dark mode is now available on WhatsApp for Android, also WhatsApp Web dark mode is in development. Company is also adding new chat color in dark mode. Current color is more like dark green as compare to upcoming bubble light green shade color.
The color is for the outgoing bubble color only. It seems that WhatsApp is testing more than more color on iOS and Android for chat bubbles.

The TikTok rival and most trending app in the last two weeks Mitron App is not a pakistani app. The app has alegations over user data store in pakistan severs & its a rebranded version of Pakistani app Tictic.
The Mitron App developers Shivank Agarwal and Anish Khandelwal claimed that the app is a ‘Make in India’ product. As Mitron App removed from the Play store earlier, a Pakistani company Qboxus claimed that app code is purchased for Rs.2,500. Later, the developer admitted that code is purchased from the third-party, not from any Pakistani firm.
The Duo admitted the app code prototyping is purchased from the Envato marketplace an Australian Company. They said to Indian Express “We are the legal owners of the codebase of Mitron”. Developers claimed they have made the app scalable and secure. As per the details, the app user is being stored in Amazon Web Services servers in Mumbai.
The Mitron App has made a comeback on the Play Store. Google had removed the Mitron App due to “Spam and minimum functionality” policy violations. Currently, the app has installed over 5 Million. The app is only available on the Android now but soon release on iOS developer’s hints.
The ‘Remove China Apps’ is developed by Jaipur based startup OneTouch AppLabs for educational purposes. The app helps identify the Chinese apps installed on phone and remove them with an uninstall option.
Remove China Apps gains popularity in recent days, and become the most trending app on Google play store. Users downloaded the app more than 5 million times since last month.
This app only detects the third-party apps installed on phone excluding the pre-installed system apps. App pulled from play store for violating Deceptive Behaviour Policy. This is Intel India’s Initiative to promote Artificial Intelligence among institutions. On the Occasion of 2nd-anniversary tenure of the government, IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad launched National AI Portal. The portal will work as a one-stop digital platform for AI development across the nation.
Portal will be used as a share Documents related to AI research, startups, investment funds in AI, Companies, and institutions. The portal is jointly developed by the Ministry of Electronics and IT and IT Industry. NASSCOM and National e-Governance Division of the Ministry of Electronics will jointly run this portal www.ai.gov.in
A National Youth Program has also been launched named “Responsible AI for Youth”. This youth program will help students to learn new relevant AI skills set and access to the required AI toolsets to develop others. The departments will reach out to state departments to nominate teachers as per eligibility criteria.
This National Programme is open for secondary level students class 8 to 12 from Central and state boards including KVS, NVS, and JNV. The program will start in a phase-wise manner. In the first phase, the State Education Dept. will nominate 10 teachers as per eligibility. There will be also an option to self nominate as per eligibility.
Students will attend online sessions on AI and get ideas about the portal. Students have to submit their ideas in 1 minute of a video explaining the proposed solution using AI.
The top 100 ideas will be shortlisted and students will be called for attending online sessions and boot camps. Students have to create real-time projects and submit the final solution in a video to the portal.
Lastly, 50 ideas will further shortlist and get invites for presentation. Further, independent committee of experts shortlist 20 innovative projects and provide opportunity to showcase at relevant platform.

Replace Body Element
In elements, you will see or you can find using ‘Ctrl+f’ in browser. Double click on “web” and replace it by “web dark” and hit enter
After pressing enter, you will have the dark mode of WhatsApp web. The dark theme is same as on the android, the dark and gray combination.
This is not permanent as it’s not official a fetaure yet. Whenever you will refresh the tab, you have to repeat the above process. Now, if you want a permanent dark mode you can use this trick to enable it.
